What is the state seal of biliteracy?

• Honors immigrants’ languages and recognizes their children’s foreign language proficiency, and credits it on their high school transcript for graduation units, future career, or college admission requirements.

• Allows high school graduates, proficient in English and at least one other world language, including American Sign Language to add this Seal to their diplomas and transcripts.
