Make A Difference In Your Community!

There are a lot of reasons to join the team at A-KEEP. From our passion for our causes to our quarterly office field trips, we thrive on providing critical knowledge and services to our community. We work with sharp, hardworking, self-motivated people who are as invested in the process as the outcome.

Volunteer Roles

Outreach & Public Relations Assistant

What we’re looking for:

Are you a social butterfly and fearless extrovert wanting to make deep connections in the River Region and beyond? If so, we want you! Whether you’re experienced in outreach coordination or just recent grad, you can make a difference in the breadth of A-KEEP’s impact in this role by representing A-KEEP at select events, conducting research and developing promotional material to promote our mission, services and programs. Bonus points if you speak Korean.

Social Media Assistant

What we’re looking for:

A savant of the socialspere, you don’t just build profiles, you cultivate relationships. We’re looking for someone like you to engage our audiences through creative story-telling, digital community management and responsive analysis. With A-KEEP you positively influence our communities one post at a time.

Korean Language Instructor

What we’re looking for:

We’re seeking energetic and bilingual instructors to teach Korean to students at various levels of proficiency in the Montgomery area. Our Korean as a Second Language programs connect learners of all ages to the Korean language, culture and history so that they can interact with their neighbors, get in touch with their roots or advance their professional aspirations. As an educator, you have the intrinsic ability to teach with both patience and passion and are excited for this unique opportunity to build a bridge in the community.

A-KEEP and AmeriCorps

Make a Meaningful Impact

In an effort to alleviate poverty in Alabama, A-KEEP proudly became an AmeriCorps sponsor in 2018. We have seen the potential for educational and economic opportunity in Alabama and partnered with AmeriCorps to build capacity and strengthen our community.

What is AmeriCorps?

AmeriCorps is a network of national service programs, made up of three primary programs that each take a different approach to improving lives and fostering civic engagement. Members commit their time to address critical community needs like increasing academic achievement, mentoring youth, fighting poverty, sustaining national parks, preparing for disasters and more. - NationalService.Gov

What is AmeriCorps VISTA?

AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) members bring passion and perseverance where the need is greatest: to organizations that help eradicate poverty. AmeriCorps VISTA members serve as a catalyst for change, living and working alongside community members to meet our nation’s most pressing challenges and advance local solutions. - NationalService.Gov

AmeriCorps programs do more than move communities forward; they serve their members by creating jobs and providing pathways to opportunity as they enter the workforce. AmeriCorps places thousands of people into intensive service positions where they learn valuable skills, earn money for education, and develop a strong sense of civic responsibility.
