Creative art for the MGM community and Pike Road High School

Korean

Traditional

Patchwork

A-KEEP’s current cultural event, titled “International Quilts Exhibition,” offers cultural diversity and enriches the appreciation of a significant Korean art form that is also popular in the state of Alabama. It provides an opportunity for residents to discover new perspectives on art and culture.

We are hosting an Art exhibition featuring Korean Traditional patchworks and Alabama quilts at the RSA Alabama Commerce Center.  Workshops on Korean and Alabama quilts are scheduled at Pike Road High School in the Korean language classes. It is a special experience for our featured artists to share this artform with non-heritage learners. A workshop for the community will be Saturday, September 17th from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts [MMFA].
